Thank you, Daniel Eddings and Shanna Walters of OrthoExpress for having our Sports Medicine students in their clinic today! The students learned the steps and techniques for casting as a part of their Protective Equipment & Techniques unit.
Special thanks to Victor Vazquez and El Veracruz for having Coach Pearson’s 2nd year Business, Marketing, & Finance class stop by for lunch today. Students enjoyed a great meal and open discussion with Victor, a 2020 Amory graduate, about managing a restaurant and job skills needed to be successful in today’s work force.
We were proud to recognize Sara Beth Pearson last night as our ACTC Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Pearson has had an immeasurable impact on her students throughout her career and they in turn have had an immeasurable impact on our state's healthcare system. Her legacy as an educator will help save lives that she will never meet. She is truly a gift to the Amory School District and to our community. Her hard work, inspiration, and ability to connect with students make her an extraordinary educator. Thank you, Mrs. Pearson for making a lasting impact on everyone around you!

Mississippi Department of Ag and Commerce visited the Amory CTC yesterday to train students in the Youth Trapping Corp. This is part of the Wild Hog Control Program. Our center received a $25,000 grant to start this program!
Thank you to Itawamba Community College for hosting our Health Science and Sports Medicine seniors on Friday. Students were able to tour the Health Science programs on the Tupelo campus as well as the Belden campus.
