Our Amory High School "Invent2Prevent" Team members (L-R) Bentley Phillips, Easton Shields, Kyle Dykes, Jax Boykin and Keith Byars ran the "Blessed are the Peacemakers 5K" run in Tupelo on Saturday, May 18th under the sponsorship of SRO Tim Greene.
The "Blessed are the Peacemakers" run raises money for the "Wives of Warriors" organization under the CREATE Foundation to provide bulletproof vests for law enforcement officers and agencies that cannot afford them.

The Amory High Schools "Invent2Prevent" Team spoke to the students at EAES about bullying and what to do if they are victims or witnesses to bullying.
This is the first year AHS has participated in the National I2P Program with the US Department of Homeland Security. I2P participants create a program that focuses on target violence, extremism or hate. Amory's team focused on "anti-bullying".
Their project will be judged by a national committee and the top 3 projects will get to travel to Washington DC to present their project in person to a VIP delegation and the Secretary of Homeland Security.
I2P members get to apply for up to $5,000 in scholarship money thru Homeland Security.
The AHS I2P Team members are all Seniors: Bentley Phillips (Team Leader), Jax Boykin, Cooper Blalock, Keith Byars, Kyle Dykes, Easton Shields & Walker Thompson.
The I2P Mentor is School Resource Officer (SRO) Tim Greene.
