West Amory Elementary
WAES Window Replacement is 95% complete
WAES Reroof materials have been delivered and work is scheduled to begin
Full Application for a PE Gym/Tornado Safe Room (Dome) has been submitted to MEMA for review. First step of the process has been approved
Repair/Replacement of damaged canopies will start November 9th
East Amory Elementary
Fencing has been repaired.
Amory Middle School
Repair/Replacement of damaged canopies will start November 9th
Amory High School
Gym and Band Hall Reroof materials are on site and work has started
Repair/Replacement of damaged canopies will start November 9th
The Repair/Replacement of the Tornado Damaged Windows at the High School is 85% complete.
The Main High School Roof Replacement Bid will be Received and Opened on November 26th.
The School District is still in negotiations with the Insurance Carrier on the High School Auditorium. Insurance believes the Auditorium can be repaired. However, the School District and its Engineers believe the facility is a Total Loss. The upgrades to the facility will cost several million dollars and the negotiations could take at least a year
A Notice of Intent (NOi) has been submitted to MEMA to Construct a Dome Gym/ Tornado Safe Room at the HS Campus
Amory Athletics
High School Gym Floor Replacement has started and should be completed in mid-December. The New Bleachers are scheduled for Delivery, December 21st and completed in time to play Basketball January 8th
FEMA has agreed to incorporate/upgrade the ADA access to the HS Gym in the project worksheet.
Repair/Replacement of damaged canopies will start November 9th
Soccer Field Concession and Ticket Booth Repairs are Complete
Soccer Field Lighting Contract has been awarded and the Poles/Fixtures ordered.
Football Stadium Bleachers Bids will be Received and Opened on the 9th of November. Work is scheduled to be completed in July 2024
The Football Field itself is not covered by Insurance.
Programing and Budget discussions have started on the Football Field, Baseball and Softball Complexes.
