Etta Dozier Beauchamp Auditorium

Etta Dozier Beauchamp began teaching in the Amory school system in the fall of 1918, teaching Latin, French, and Spanish. In 1922, she became principal of Amory High School, a position she held until July 1957, when she became assistant superintendent of the school district. Beauchamp retired in July 1958 after 40 years of service. In October 1958, the Amory School Board decided to name the auditorium at the newly completed Amory High School the Etta Dozier Beauchamp Auditorium in honor of her dedication to Amory schools.
