Quality Education Foundation, Inc.
Every teacher/principal in the Amory School District has the opportunity to apply for QEF grants each year. The grants are written by the teachers and administrators to request funds for specific projects for use in their classrooms or their schools.
Approximately $288,000 has been raised by QEF and donated to Amory School District for enhanced educational opportunities. Since its inception, QEF has funded grants in reading, science, math, and language arts. QEF has also funded projects for the Envirothon Team, the Reading Fair, Science Fair, musicals, and assisted with the publishing of the "Stroke of the Pen." Other QEF grants have assisted with the funding of a part-time school nurse, equipping a fitness center at Amory High School to help address the issue of childhood obesity and purchasing calculators for all math classes at Amory High School and at Amory Middle School. QEF assisted with the upgrading of the floor, lighting, and new seating in the Amory High School Auditorium.
